Price Cut for Fresh Produce
at Mydin

Hypermarket takes the cue from the government to ease consumer’s burden during the year-end festive season.

FIFTY items of fresh produce will be available at Mydin Hypermarket USJ 1 and its other outlets nationwide at lower prices daily, following the launch of its Price cut Campaign late last month.

The campaign according to Mydin managing director Dato’ Ameer Ali Mydin, aimed at reducing the burden on consumers.

“The price of wet and fresh goods has risen due to the shortage of supply and problems in transportation brought about partly by the floods in the East Coast”.

“This campaign is aimed primarily at controlling the rise in price of essential goods,” he said during the campaign launch, adding that he hoped suppliers would understand the rationale behind the campaign.

Ameer said being a wholesale hypermarket; Mydin can generate the volume which will make up for the drop in prices at its outlets.

“We call on the public to save with us. Nurture our younger generation to inculcate the saving habit as well,” he added.

Fifty fresh items which are hot on the lost of consumers for their daily needs will be available at Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket USJ1, Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket Kuala Terengganu, Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket MITC, Ayer Keroh Melaka, Mydin Supermarket Selayang, Mydin Bazaar Putrajaya and Mydin Melaka Bazaar 24 hours.

“Our slogan: Jom Beli Segar Harga Jimat @ Mydin is not a gimmick!” Ameer said during the launch of the campaign which was officiated by Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Deputy Minister Dato’ Tan Lain Hoe.

Consumers can also log into Mydin’s official website at www.mydin.com.my  to check out the prices of the 50 fresh items and calculate how much they can save on their groceries.
