Malacca To Go For A Record Toss

Malacca folk will have the opportunity to toss an 880m-long dragon-shaped yee sang in conjunction with the Lunar New Year at the MYDIN supermarket in Ayer Keroh on Feb 4. The Chief Minister's special secretary Datuk Bong Woon Chin said the event organised by MYDIN and Bukit Baru MCA was aimed at earning a place in the Malaysia Book of Records for the longest yee sang. He said the yee sang costing about RM200,000 would be adorned with lights on its head and tail.“The yee sang will be prepared by six experienced chefs assisted by 60 workers from halal-certified Restoran LPP Sdn Bhd,” he said. Bong said 1,888 people were expected to take part in the event.
